Popular Nigerian actress Adesua Etomi has discussed her husband Banky W’s political interests.
When her husband, Banky W, expressed interest in entering politics, she claims she was concerned.
The movie star claimed in a recent interview with HipTV that she and her spouse had numerous conversations about her worries.
“When Banky said he was going to go into politics, I was a little bit worried,” she said.
“I spoke about this many times before but I also believe that purpose is more important than fear.
“I want to see him prove purpose, so he has my support 100 percent.”
She continued, “The fears subsided the moment I learned he’s pursuing something bigger.”
Banky W and Adesua wed in November 2017. A boy is born into the union.
The singer entered politics in 2019. Under the Modern Democratic Party, he ran for representative of the Eti-Osa federal constituency in the house (MDP).
He was defeated at the time by Babajide Obanikoro, the All Progressive Congress candidate (APC).
Banky W refused to give in and moved to the People’s Democratic Party from the MDP (PDP).
Prior to this month’s general election, he ran for and won the party’s Eti-Osa federal constituency primary ticket there.
The politician revealed in June 2020 that the year he entered politics was terrible for his marriage to Adesua.
He claimed that the results of the 2019 election “strained” his relationship, especially when he and Adesua miscarried their first child, a set of twins.
