At the age of 45, Annie Wersching passed away. She was best known for her role as FBI agent Renee Walker in the television series 24.
Wersching lost her fight with cancer early on Sunday, January 29, in Los Angeles, according to her publicist.
Wersching contributed the voice of Tess in the video game The Last of Us, which was produced by Neil Druckmann and posted on Twitter “We recently lost a wonderful artist and person. My heart is broken. Her loved ones are in our thoughts.”
Over the course of her two-decade career, Wersching made numerous appearances on television programs.
Her first acting credit was in Star Trek: Enterprise, and she then had recurring parts as the Borg Queen in the second season of Star Trek: Picard as well as in Bosch, The Vampire Diaries, Marvel’s Runaways, The Rookie, and the seventh and eighth seasons of 24.
Wershing got diagnosis in 2020 but continued to work.
Stephen Full, an actor, and their three sons are her only surviving family members.
Wersching’s co-star on the science fiction series Timeless, actor Abigail Spencer, tweeted: “You are so loved, Annie Wersching. We will miss you terribly.”
