As part of its planning for the next general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, has released the voting procedures for the elections.
A message on the Commission’s verified Twitter account on Sunday included the disclosure.
The Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), according to the Commission, will use facial or fingerprint recognition to authenticate voters.
Voters produce their Permanent Voter Cards, or PVCs, for accreditation via BVAS at 8:30 am, according to INEC, and voting begins at that time.
Voters would be permitted to leave the voting area or remain 300 meters away to watch the ballots being sorted and counted, according to the statement’s additional details.
