Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Erica Nlewedim has bared her mind on what submission entails.
The actress and reality TV star is of the opinion that submission should be earned and not demanded, adding that men should not demand submission from a lady on the premise that they are males.
She further opined that a woman will most likely submit to a man who has earned it at the point when she eventually feels safe and comfortable with that man.
Bifotad Media reports that Erica made this known when a fan probed further in a follow-up question to hers about submission as it relates to feminism.
Erica had earlier Tweeted: “First date question: do you have a problem with feminists? Cos I’m a feminine feminist. Only love can make me submissive”.
A Tweep with the name Kolade in his response posed a question to Erica thus: “And is not being submissive feminism?
In her reply:
“Don’t demand submission from people you have no right to ask that from. Some guys ask females to be submissive simply cos they’re male and not that they’ve earned it.
“It’s something a woman will give freely when/if she feels safe and comfortable and definitely not to all men.”
Bifotad Media recalls that Erica was disqualified from the Lockdown edition of the popular Big Brother Naija reality TV show after her spat with the eventual winner of the show, Laycon led her to break the house rules.
