If elected later this month, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has vowed to lower government spending.
The election is scheduled for February 23.
During his Monday speech to the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, he made the admission on his Twitter page.
He tweeted, “We will work with the CBN to reduce the ‘ways and means’ to what is allowable under the law and for a more transparent and liberalized foreign exchange market,”
