Paul Okoye, a well-known Nigerian artist, has criticized the Nigerian Senate for wanting to extend the deadline for exchanging Naira notes.
The Senate has requested that the deadline for exchanging the Naira notes be extended to June 2023 due to concerns about the limited availability of the newly redesigned notes to ordinary Nigerians.
Paul claimed that the MPs are speaking up now because this particular issue affects them and the election in a post published on his Instagram page this morning.
Then, when palliatives were kept hidden during the pandemic, he questioned where the politicians were. He continued, by saying that God is “helping Nigerians avoid vote buying.”
